Our place is in Sector-C of Jankipuram, specifically at M2C/5. It’s a residential area mostly, so it’s pretty quiet compared to the center of Lucknow. We’ve been here for a while, working out of this ground-floor space. It’s a bit of a squeeze when everyone is in the office at once, but we make it work. We have a few desks pushed against the walls and a lot of filing cabinets that are starting to overflow. There is a small chai stall just around the corner where we usually end up talking about the day’s tasks. We don’t really have a big sign outside, just a small one near the gate so people don’t miss us. The internet can be a bit patchy when it rains, which happens more than you’d think in Lucknow. We spend a lot of time on the phone or typing away on the computers. It’s a typical office vibe, nothing too special to look at. We keep a water cooler in the corner that always seems to need refilling. People in Jankipuram are friendly, and we often see the same neighbors walking their dogs past our window every evening. It feels like a good neighborhood to be in. We don’t try to be anything we’re not. We just show up, do the work that needs doing, and head home when the sun goes down. It's just a normal workplace where we get through our list of things to do.
