En-Vogue International

We’re located in Munirka, specifically at Bg-11 D in the M.I.G. DDA Flats. En-Vogue International is run out of this space, and it definitely feels like a local spot. It’s a residential area, so it’s quieter than being in a main market, which we like. Most of our work involves export stuff and keeping track of fashion trends that might sell well in other places. We have racks of clothes and fabric swatches taking up most of the room. Sometimes it feels like we’re drowning in hangers and plastic bags. We aren't a massive corporation with a huge staff. It’s just a small team trying to stay organized. Parking around the flats can be a real nightmare if you're visiting at the wrong time. We spend a lot of time on our laptops, emailing people all over the place. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit around and talk until it comes back. It’s a pretty relaxed environment, though things get frantic when a deadline is approaching. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything. If you want to see something, we just pull it out of a box or off a rack. It’s practical and it works for us. We’ve been in Munirka for a while and know the local tea stall guy pretty well. It's just a normal job in a normal neighborhood. We try to get things right the first time but we're human, so mistakes happen. That is just the way things go sometimes.
