Ayushi Design & Associates

You can find us over in Lajpat Nagar II at O-47. Ayushi Design & Associates is basically a small group of us working on building plans and interior ideas. Our office is usually full of rolls of paper, samples of tiles, and some half-empty tea cups. We don't have a big fancy reception area because we are usually too busy at our drawing tables or out at a construction site. People in the neighborhood often drop in to ask about renovating their kitchens or adding a room to their house. We spend a lot of time arguing over measurements and trying to make things fit in small spaces, which is common here in Delhi. It is a bit of a messy process, to be honest. We aren't the type of firm that has a glossy brochure; we just show people what we have built nearby. Lajpat Nagar is always noisy and crowded, which sometimes makes it hard to focus, but it also means we are close to all the hardware and fabric markets. We take on all sorts of projects, some big and some just small repairs. It is hard work and the deadlines are always tight. We have been working from this office for several years now and we know the local building quirks pretty well. We just try to get the drawings right so the contractors don't get confused about where the walls go.
