Devsons Timbers

You can find us at Plot No-J-2 in New Mahavir Nagar. Devsons Timbers has been part of this neighborhood for quite some time now. The yard is usually full of wood piles and the smell of fresh cut timber is always in the air. We spend our mornings sorting through the different types of wood that come in on the trucks. It’s a dusty place, and there is always sawdust on the floor no matter how much we sweep it up. People from around the area come in looking for specific sizes for their home projects or furniture. We mostly just stand around the plot and talk about what’s needed for the day. The traffic in New Mahavir Nagar can be a bit of a headache during the afternoons, especially when we are trying to load up a customer's vehicle. It’s just a small group of us working here. We don't use any big fancy computers for everything; mostly just notebooks and pens to keep track of the inventory. It is a straightforward way of living. We see the same faces every week, mostly local carpenters and some neighbors we have known for years. When the sun goes down, we lock up the gates and head home. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. If you’re walking by J-2, you’ll probably hear the sound of wood being moved around.
