Design Sense Architects

Design Sense Architects is over in Mianwali Nagar, specifically at A-5/19 on the second floor of A Block. We are really close to the Peeraghari Metro Station, which is how some of us get here every day. You can hear the metro trains every now and then if it’s a quiet morning. The office is a second-floor space, so there are some stairs to climb. It’s an architect's studio, but don't expect anything too trendy or minimalist. It’s actually quite messy with all the physical models and samples of tiles and wood we keep around. There are piles of drawings on almost every flat surface. We have some large tables where we spread everything out to look at it together. The light in the morning is quite good, which helps when we're trying to see small details. Mianwali Nagar is a busy residential and commercial mix, so there’s always a bit of life on the street below. We get our lunch from the local shops nearby. The office has a bit of a lived-in feel, with coffee stains on some of the coasters and books that have been on the shelves for a decade. It’s a place where we actually do the drawing and the thinking, so it’s not always perfectly tidy. People usually come to see us here after they’ve seen some of our work elsewhere in the city. It is a very hands-on workspace.
