You can find us in Chamber 60 over at Patiala House Courts. It is a small space, like most of the chambers around here, and every inch of wall is covered in legal journals and old case files. It smells a bit like old paper and ink in here. We spend a lot of our time running back and forth between the chamber and the courtrooms. It’s a hectic way to live, always checking the clock and making sure we have the right folder in hand. There isn't much room for guests, so we usually end up talking to people out in the hallway or near the entrance. It’s a very public way to work, with so many people constantly moving through the corridors. We don't have any fancy mission statements or corporate goals. We just show up every day, take our seat in the chamber, and get to work on the files on our desks. Some days are long and we don't leave until the building is nearly empty. Other days are a bit slower, which gives us a chance to clean up the workspace a little. We’ve been at Patiala House for years and we’ve gotten used to the noise and the crowds. It’s just the nature of the job. We are a small team and we just try to keep things moving as best as we can without making things more complicated than they need to be.
