Cybercafe

We’ve been here at Cd 22E in the Dda Flats for quite a while now. Most people around New Delhi know this spot as the Cybercafe. It isn’t anything fancy, just a room with some computers and printers that usually work. You’ll see a lot of students coming in to finish up homework or people trying to fill out government forms online when their own internet is acting up. The chairs have seen better days, and the fans make a bit of noise, but it stays relatively cool inside. We keep the place open pretty late most days because that’s when people need us most. Sometimes the power goes out, and we all just sit there talking until it comes back on. It’s a small space, so you get to know the regulars pretty well. We have stacks of paper everywhere and the smell of the printer ink is always in the air. People stop by to ask for directions or just to check their email quickly before heading home. It’s just how things go here in this part of Delhi. We don't have a big sign or anything, just the address on the door. It’s mostly local folks from the flats who drop in. We try to keep things simple and just make sure the connection stays up so everyone can get their stuff done without too much trouble.
