Creatick Crafts

Creatick Crafts is over in Kalkaji, not too far from the Kalkaji Temple. You can always tell when there is a festival or a special day because the crowds in the streets get huge and the whole area smells like incense and street food. Our workspace is small and usually a bit of a mess with all the different materials we use for our crafts. There are jars of beads, scraps of fabric, and various tools lying around on every available surface. It isn't a factory; it's just a place where we make things. Sometimes we lose track of time when we are working on a specific piece, and before we know it, it’s dark outside. The lighting isn't the best, so we have a few desk lamps that we move around as needed. We don't have a professional receptionist or a waiting room. If someone comes by, they usually just walk straight into the work area. The walls are mostly bare, except for a few things we’ve made that we liked enough to keep. It’s a bit dusty because of all the sanding and cutting we do, but that’s just part of the job. We enjoy being in South Delhi, even with the traffic and the noise, because there is always something happening right outside the door. It feels like a real part of the community here. It might be a bit chaotic inside, but that’s just how we get things finished.
