Sarswati Gali is a bit of a maze if you aren’t used to the Mandawali area. Our office is at 354/ B, right on Buddha Marg. It’s a busy part of Delhi, so there is always a lot of noise from the street outside. You can hear the rickshaws and people talking all day long. Inside, it’s a bit cramped because we have a lot of equipment squeezed into the rooms. We’ve got desks pushed up against the walls and stacks of papers that never seem to go away. The lighting isn't the best, but we have enough lamps to see what we are doing. Most of us take the metro or bikes to get here. The summers get really hot, so the coolers are always running at full blast, making that constant humming sound. We eat our lunch together in the small back area. It’s a simple setup. There are no fancy decorations or carpets on the floors. We just focus on the work that needs to be done each day. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to wait for the backup to kick in, which is just part of living in this part of town. We’ve gotten used to the pace of this neighborhood. It’s crowded and loud, but it’s where we are based. We handle the technical stuff here and try to stay on top of the schedule.
