Career & College Consultant

Our office, Career & College Consultant, is tucked away in Kotla Mubarakpur. If you know Delhi, you know how crowded it gets around here. It is at number 1428. The streets are narrow and there’s always someone honking outside the window. We have a few desks and a lot of folders stacked up. People come in looking for help with where to go for college. It gets a bit loud when the market nearby is busy. We spend most of our time on the phone or looking at long course lists. It’s a small space, so things get cluttered with papers sometimes. We don't have fancy leather chairs or glass walls. Just some plastic chairs for whoever walks in to sit on. Sometimes the tea guy comes by and we take a quick break. It is mostly just about talking to students and their parents about their plans. Delhi life is fast, but we try to take time to explain things as clearly as we can. The 110003 area is always moving. We’ve had all sorts of people come through that door over the years. Some are nervous, some are excited. We just try to give them the information we have in our files. It’s a practical job. No big corporate meetings here, just us sitting at our desks working through the pile of applications and brochures that never seems to get smaller.
