Batra Crockery House

Batra Crockery House is situated at Wz - 233 in Nangal Rai, right on Jail Road. We are not hard to find if you are coming from the Delhi Cantt Railway Station area. The shop is filled with plates, bowls, and all kinds of glassware that we have stacked up on the shelves. It’s a bit of a maze inside sometimes because we keep getting new patterns and styles in. We have to be very careful moving around so nothing gets chipped or broken. Jail Road is always moving with traffic, and we see people heading to the station all day long. We have been sitting here behind the counter for years, watching the neighborhood change while we sell our cups and saucers. The floor is usually covered in bits of straw and packing tape from when we unbox the deliveries. We don't have a fancy showroom. It is more of a practical store where you can see the items clearly. Some days are very slow, and we just spend time dusting the glass, while other days everyone seems to need a new dinner set at once. We like being in Nangal Rai because it feels like a real community. We aren't trying to be anything big; we just want to run our crockery house and serve the people who walk through the door. It is a simple life and it keeps us busy enough throughout the week.
