Bacchus Club

The Bacchus Club is located right in the middle of Basant Lok, Vasant Vihar 5. It gets pretty lively around here once the sun goes down and the streetlights come on. We spend our afternoons mostly getting the chairs sorted and making sure the bar is stocked up for the night crowd. Basant Lok has a lot of energy, and being at number 5 means we see everyone walking past. It isn't always perfectly organized back here; sometimes we run out of lemons or a lightbulb goes out right when we open. We just fix it and keep moving. The music can get a bit loud, and sometimes the neighbors probably wonder what we are doing, but it is just the way the club is. We have a lot of glass to polish every single day because of all the fingerprints. The staff has been here a while, so we know which tables wobble and which corner of the room gets the most breeze from the fans. It is a lot of standing on your feet and dealing with people who just want to have a night out. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. It is just a club in Vasant Vihar where people end up when they don't want to go home yet. The floors get scuffed up by the end of the weekend, and we just mop them up and start over on Monday.
