Jindal Fabric

Our shop is at No. 220 in the middle of Azad Market. If you know the market, you know it’s one of the busiest places you could ever be. There’s a constant stream of people and the sound of handcarts being pushed over the uneven ground. Our shop, Jindal Fabric, is packed tight with rolls and bolts of cloth of every kind. We’ve used every inch of space we have, even stacking things high up towards the ceiling. It can be a bit of a struggle to find a specific piece of fabric sometimes, but we usually know exactly where everything is buried. Working in Azad Market means you have to be quick and you have to be okay with a bit of chaos. We don't have a quiet office to retreat to. We’re right there on the floor, measuring out fabric and talking to anyone who stops by. The air is always a bit thick with the smell of new cloth and the dust that comes with it. We don’t bother with fancy advertising or anything like that because the market itself brings plenty of people to our door. It’s hard work, especially when we have to move the heavy rolls around, but it’s what we do. We’ve been at number 220 for years and we’ve become a small part of the market’s history. It is just the way we like to work.
