If you know Delhi, you know how crowded Chawri Bazar can get. Our office, Atul Traders, is right in the middle of it at Number 3481/1 in Bajrang Bali Gali. It’s near Pahar Gunj, so the whole area is just a maze of narrow streets and shops piled on top of each other. Finding us for the first time can be a bit of a challenge if you aren't used to these lanes. We’ve been in this spot for a long time. The building is old, and the stairs are a bit steep, but it’s home for the business. We deal in various goods, mostly trading whatever is in demand in the market. Every morning, the market wakes up with a lot of shouting and carts moving around. We open up, check the mail, and start the day’s work. There isn’t much space for a big warehouse here, so we have to be very efficient with how we store things. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to people who drop by the office. It’s a very social way to do business. You hear all the gossip of the bazaar while you work. We don't have any corporate slogans or big missions. We just want to buy things at a fair price and sell them the same way. The air is thick with the smell of street food and old paper. It’s a busy life, but we like being right here.
