Asia Tea House

Asia Tea House is located at Shop No-12 in Sunder Nagar Market. We are right across from the Obroi Hotel, so we get a mix of locals and some tourists who wander over. The shop is small, but we pack a lot into it. We have tins of tea stacked up to the ceiling in some spots. It's been a family-run thing for a long time. My father used to sit in the same chair I do now. We know most of our neighbors in the market. It’s a nice community to be part of. We don't have any fancy brochures or digital displays. We just have the tea and our scales. We talk to people about what they like and show them what we have in stock. Sometimes the market gets very crowded on weekends, and it can be hard to move around in the shop. We try to keep things organized, but it’s a lot of work with so many different varieties. We don’t use any corporate scripts when we talk to people. It’s just us being ourselves. We might not have the lowest prices or the flashiest labels, but we've been here a long time and people seem to like that. It's a steady job and we enjoy the daily routine of opening up and greeting everyone who comes through the door.
