It’s a bit of a maze inside because we keep getting new shipments in. We spend most of our mornings unpacking boxes and trying to fit everything onto the shelves. It’s not a very quiet job because there’s always the sound of tape dispensers and heavy boxes moving around. People from the nearby schools and offices come in looking for specific things, and we have to go hunting through the piles to find them. We don't have a fancy showroom, just a lot of stock and some old wooden counters. Sometimes the lights flicker a bit, but we just keep working. Tilak Nagar is always moving, so we get a lot of foot traffic. We try to keep the inventory straight, but it’s hard when things are selling fast. We aren't trying to be anything other than a place where you can get your supplies. Our staff is just a few local people who know where every single pencil is hidden. We open up early and stay until the shutters go down at night. It’s dusty work sometimes, but it’s what we’ve been doing for years now. We just handle the stationery and help out whoever walks through the door.
