Arora Textiles

We are tucked away at A- 94/b in Lajpat Nagar- 2, which is a busy part of town to be in. Lajpat Nagar is always humming with shoppers and vendors, and our little textile spot is right in the thick of it. The shop is mostly just rows and rows of fabric rolls standing against the walls. We spend a lot of time measuring out lengths of cloth and folding them back up neatly, though they never stay neat for very long. The front door squeaks every time someone enters, and we’ve been meaning to oil it for months but never seem to find the time. It’s a cozy space, maybe a bit too small when we have more than three people inside at once. We know most of the other shopkeepers on this block, and we often help each other out when someone needs a hand with a heavy load. The light in the back of the shop isn't great, so we usually bring the fabrics to the front to see the colors properly. It’s a simple life here, surrounded by textures and patterns all day. We don't have a website or anything like that; we just rely on people walking by or those who have been coming to us for years. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us and the way we like to do things in Lajpat Nagar. We just keep at it every day.
