Architect Harish Tripathi & Associates

Harish Tripathi and the rest of us have been working out of the D-987 spot in New Friends Colony for a while now. Most days it’s just us surrounded by rolls of paper and pens. It gets pretty busy. People come to us when they need a house drawn up or maybe a renovation. We spend a lot of time looking at maps and talking about where walls should go. It’s not always glamorous work. Sometimes we’re just measuring things over and over to make sure they fit. Our office is a bit messy with blueprints, but we know where everything is. The neighborhood is nice, and we usually walk around for tea in the afternoons. Working in architecture means dealing with a lot of tiny details that most folks don't see. We just try to get the drawings right so the builders don't have a hard time later on. There's always something new to figure out on every site. We aren't a big fancy firm with a receptionist in a suit. It’s just us doing the drawings and checking on things. If you stop by New Friends Colony, you’ll see our sign. We’ve seen the area change over the years. Some days the phones don't stop ringing, and other days it's just quiet drafting work. We keep it simple here. Just focus on the lines and the measurements.
