Naraina Village is a busy spot. We are located at Wz-572. It gets loud here with all the workshops and people moving around. Application Engineering I Pvt Ltd started because there was a need for engineering work in this part of New Delhi. We deal with various technical things. Some days are slow, others we can't keep up with the phone ringing. The office isn't fancy. There are files everywhere and the tea guy comes around twice a day. We spend most of our time looking at drawings or talking about how to fix a specific problem for a client. It is not glamorous work, but it pays the bills. Sometimes the power goes out in the village and we just sit around until it comes back on. That’s just how it is here in the 110028 area. Most of the staff live nearby, so we walk or take a rickshaw. We know the neighbors pretty well. If you come by, you might have trouble parking since the lanes are so narrow. We just try to do what we are supposed to do every day. Engineering is mostly about solving puzzles that people bring to us. We’ve seen a lot of changes in the village over the years, but our building stays the same. It’s a lot of paper work and measuring things. We just keep going. Usually, there is a stray dog or two sleeping near the entrance, and we just leave them be.
