Adept Media Pvt. Ltd. is up on the third floor of 13-B in Hauz Khas Village. If you’ve ever been to the village, you know how tight the lanes are and how hard it is to find a parking spot. We’ve been in this building for a bit now. It’s a small space, usually filled with the sound of keyboards clicking and people arguing about where to go for lunch. We do media stuff, which basically means we spend way too much time staring at screens. The stairs up to the third floor are a bit steep, and the light in the hallway flickers sometimes, but the view from the window isn't half bad. We aren’t one of those huge agencies with a coffee bar and bean bags. We have a few old chairs and a kettle that takes forever to boil. It gets a bit hectic when we have a deadline, and the office ends up looking like a mess with papers and hard drives everywhere. We like being in this part of town though, even if it’s noisy on the weekends. People think working in media is all about parties, but for us at 13-B, it’s mostly just trying to get the files to export correctly and making sure the client is okay with the colors. It’s just work, at the end of the day, and we try to get it done right before heading home.
