Stonehousepet is one of those old parts of Nellore where everything feels a bit cramped but familiar. Our restaurant is at 5/393, right across from Swathi Wines. It can be a bit of a rowdy spot in the evenings because of the shop opposite, but during the day, it is mostly just people going about their business. The Nellore heat is no joke, so the kitchen feels like a furnace most of the time. We try to keep the windows open, but there is not much of a breeze. I spend most of my time managing the staff and making sure the supplies come in on time. We do not have a big menu. We just make what we know how to make. The tables are basic, and we do not have air conditioning, just some old ceiling fans that do their job. You see the same people every day—laborers, shop owners, and sometimes students from nearby. It is a noisy street with plenty of horns and people shouting, but that is just part of being in Stonehousepet. We are not trying to be the most popular place in town. We just want to stay open and keep things moving. My wife sometimes helps with the spices and the cleaning. It is a simple business, nothing more. We just stay here and work until the shutters go down at night and we go home.
