If you know Achari Street in Nellore, you know it stays pretty packed. We set up Scb Reshmi Kabab Centre right at Achari Street, Nellore - 524001, Near Collector Office, Opposite State Bank Of India, so there is always someone walking by. The State Bank is right across from us, which brings in a lot of people during the afternoon heat. It gets pretty smoky around here when the grills are going, but that's just part of the job. We aren't trying to be a fancy restaurant with air conditioning and velvet chairs. We are just a kabab place where you can get something to eat without a fuss. The staff is mostly local guys who know the neighborhood well. We’ve been here long enough that we don't really need a big sign, people just follow the smell of the charcoal. Sometimes the traffic on the street makes it hard for people to park, but they usually find a way. We start prepping early in the morning so everything is ready by the time the offices let out. It’s a small operation, really. Just a few of us working the fires and making sure the orders go out right. We don't spend much time on decorations or anything like that. The focus is just on the food and getting through the daily rush. It’s a honest living and we like being part of this little corner of Nellore.
