Narayana School

I spend a lot of my time here at the Narayana School in Nellore. It’s located inside the V B R Public School Campus, which is quite close to the Narayana Engineering College. Being in the Nellore Zilla Parishad area means it gets busy during the mornings and afternoons when everyone is on the move. I usually get here early before the sun gets too high. The walk from the main gate through the campus is familiar now. You can see the engineering students heading to their labs nearby while our younger ones are lining up. Sometimes the dust from the road gets into the office, but that’s just how it is around here in 524001. We have a lot of classrooms to look after and there is always something that needs fixing or a desk that needs moving. The staff sits together during the breaks and we just talk about the day or what’s happening in the neighborhood. It isn't a fancy place with a lot of chrome, but it’s where we work every day. The local shops near the Zilla Parishad office are where we usually grab a quick snack or some tea. It feels like a small part of the city that just keeps humming along. We try to keep things organized despite the chaos of the school day. It is a lot of work keeping up with everything in this Nellore heat, but we just get on with it.
