Narayana Medical College

Narayana Medical College is a huge place located in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh. If you walk onto the campus, you’ll see it is almost like a small town by itself. There are big buildings for the college and a large hospital attached where patients are always coming and going. It is a very busy environment with doctors, nurses, and students in white coats rushing around everywhere. The hallways are long and have that distinct hospital smell that you never quite get used to. We have large lecture halls with rows of seats where the students sit for hours listening to talks about anatomy and medicine. Outside, the grounds are quite vast, but it’s mostly just functional space for parking and moving between the different blocks. It’s a serious place because the work being done is about health, so you don’t see much messing around in the labs or the wards. The library stays open late, and you can usually find a few tired students huddled over thick textbooks at any hour. The cafeteria serves simple food because that is all anyone has time for. It’s not a flashy place with a lot of decorations; it’s just a massive institution in Nellore where people come to study medicine and work in the clinics. It is a lot of hard work and long days for everyone who is part of the college. There is always a lot of paperwork to do and patients to see, and the lights are usually on all night.
