Apswr Junior College

Our college is located right on the Main Road in the Thiramana Thippa area of Sangam. If you are driving through this part of the Nellore district, you have probably seen our sign as you passed by. Apswr Junior College is a place for students who are in those important two years before they move on to bigger universities. The building is quite simple and sits right on the edge of the road, so we get a fair amount of dust from the passing buses and trucks. We’ve all just accepted that as part of being here. Inside, it is a very standard college setup with rows of benches and chalkboards in every room. We don't have fancy equipment or high-tech labs, just the basic things needed for the science and arts subjects. The staff members are all local people who understand what the students are going through. We spend our days moving from one lecture to the next, trying to keep everyone on track with the syllabus. During the breaks, the students usually hang out by the main gate or talk in the corridors. It’s a very straightforward and honest place. We don’t have a marketing team or any shiny brochures; it’s just us teachers and the office staff keeping the schedule running. The Nellore heat can be really tough in the summer, but we keep the fans going. We just focus on the teaching and the upcoming exams to help the kids move forward.
