We are over in Sattapir Gali in the Hira Bazaar area. It’s always crowded here in the main market. Sometimes it feels like there is no space to even walk but we manage. Shri Meena Sarees Dresses has been at this spot for a good while. You find us right where the lanes get narrow. My father started things and now we just keep it going every day. We open early when the other shops are still pulling up their shutters. There are so many sarees stacked up that it's hard to find the back wall some days. We also have dresses because that is what people ask for when they come to Hira Bazaar. The tea stall nearby brings us chai twice a day and that keeps us moving. The address says Hira Bazaar three times because that is just how people know the place. It is the heart of the market. Customers come in looking for something for a wedding or just a small function at home. We don't have fancy lights or anything. Just the stuff we sell and a couple of fans to keep the air moving. If you come by in the afternoon it is usually a bit quieter. In the evenings it's a different story. Everyone is shouting and trying to get through the gali. It's just how life is here. We do our work and go home when the sun sets.
