Angara Barbeque Tawa Fry

Angara Barbeque Tawa Fry is located in Navsari, right across from the Tata Boys School. Being opposite a school means our day is often timed by the school bell. We see the kids and the parents and the teachers every day. Navsari is a place where people know each other, and our spot is pretty easy to find if you’re in that part of town. We do a lot of work with the tawa and the barbeque, so there is usually a bit of smoke and the smell of cooking drifting out onto the street. It’s not a polished corporate restaurant. It’s more of a practical place where we focus on the cooking rather than the decor. The furniture is simple and the walls don’t have anything fancy on them. We spend a lot of time getting the coals ready and prepping the meat for the grill. When the school lets out, the street gets really busy for a while. We’ve grown used to the noise and the energy of the area. It’s just a honest, local business. We don’t have any big mission statements or anything like that. We just show up, light the fires, and get to work. Most of our customers are locals who live within walking distance or people who work at the school across the road. It’s a steady life here in Navsari and we just take it one day at a time.
