Manasa Mangala Fish Farmers Producer Company Limited is situated right at R 1/422, near the Mamon Darwaja. If you know Tikamgarh, you know the gate is a landmark. We are a group of fish farmers who decided to come together to make things a bit easier for ourselves. Fishing and raising fish is a lot of work, and it's even harder when you try to do it all alone. At our office, you’ll usually find someone talking about pond levels or the price of feed. It is a very hands-on kind of business. We aren't sitting in air-conditioned rooms all day. Most of us are more comfortable out by the water than behind a desk. But we needed a central spot to handle the sales and the logistics, so here we are in 472001. The Mamon Darwaja area is always lively, which is good for business. We don't have any big slogans or glossy brochures. We just know our fish and we know the local markets. Sometimes the harvest is great and sometimes it’s a struggle with the weather or the water quality, but that is just how it goes with nature. We help each other out with equipment and share what we know about keeping the fish healthy. It’s a community thing more than anything else. We are just local folks trying to make a living from the water and keeping things honest without making a big fuss about what we do for the town.
