Our place is over at Plot No 145b in the GIDC Estate, specifically in Phase 3. If you have ever been around here, you know how it is with all the steel and metal shops lined up one after another. It gets noisy with the sound of loading and unloading. We don’t have a big corporate sign or anything like that, just the basic setup you’d expect for a steel business. Most of the time, the yard is full of material and we are just trying to keep everything organized so we can find what people need. The dust from the road comes inside no matter how much we sweep, so we just got used to it. Usually, the mornings are the busiest because that is when the trucks arrive and we have to figure out where to put everything. We sit in the small office area when we need to do the paperwork, but mostly we are out on the floor. Phase 3 of GIDC is a bit of a maze if you aren't local, but we’ve been here long enough to know all the neighbors. Sometimes we share tools or help each other out when someone’s crane is stuck. It’s a practical way to run things. We just keep our heads down and handle the steel orders as they come in. By evening, the whole estate quietens down a bit and we lock up. It’s been a long journey since we first got the keys to this plot, but we like the routine we have now.
