We are based in Vashi, specifically in the A.P.M.C. Fruit Market. Our spot is G. S/30 in the Central Facility Building. It’s right behind the Maha Nagar Bank in Sector-19. If you’ve ever been to the fruit market, you know how chaotic it can be. There are trucks everywhere and people shouting prices since very early in the morning. We are right in the middle of all that noise and energy. We handle various trading tasks and help move goods through the market system. It’s a very busy environment and you have to be quick on your feet. Our office is small and usually filled with the smell of fresh fruit from the stalls outside. We spend our days dealing with vendors and buyers from all over. It’s a lot of negotiation and keeping track of who owes what on the ledgers. The floors are usually a bit dirty from all the foot traffic coming in and out. We’ve been here for a long time and know most of the other traders and workers around. It’s a community, even if it’s a noisy and crowded one. We don’t have time for anything polished or corporate in this place. We just focus on the day’s business and making sure the crates get moved to where they need to go. It’s a tough life with long hours, but it keeps us on our toes and the days go by fast. There is always someone looking for a deal.
