Our spot is F 59 in the AMPC Market No. 1. This is Phase 2 of Sector 19 in Vashi. The African Trading Company Pvt. Ltd. has been operating from this market for quite a while now. If you've ever been to the AMPC market, you know it's a whirlwind of activity. There are trucks everywhere and the ground is always a bit dusty. Our office is more like a hub. We have people coming in to check on their orders and drivers looking for their paperwork. It’s not the kind of place where you sit down for a long lunch. Most of us just grab something quick from a nearby stall. The walls of our unit are a bit scuffed from moving crates around, but that's just how it is in a trading business. We handle a lot of logistics for stuff going back and forth. It’s mostly about keeping track of the containers and making sure the documentation is right for customs. We have an old computer that takes forever to boot up, but it has all our important files on it. The heat in Vashi during the summer is no joke, especially in a busy market area like this. We just keep the fans going and try to stay productive. It’s a noisy, busy life, but it suits us just fine.
