Aalisha Overseas is right in the middle of the Masala Market at Vashi. Specifically, we are at D-29 in Phase 2 of APMC Market 1, Sector-19. If you’ve been here, you know it smells like a mix of every spice you can think of. It’s a very lively place with people moving bags and trucks coming in at 4 in the morning. Our office is a small part of this massive market. It’s definitely not a quiet spot. There’s always someone shouting or a horn honking nearby. We spend our day managing our stock and talking to traders who are always in a rush. Our desks are usually covered in some dust from the market outside, no matter how much we clean. We don't have any polished floors or glass walls here. It’s a gritty, real environment where work happens fast. We don't really have time for long lunches or breaks. Usually, we just grab something from a nearby stall and eat it while we work. It’s a tough way to spend the day, but we are used to the pace of the market now. We aren't doing anything fancy; we just make sure the goods move from one place to another without any trouble. It’s been our home for years and we know most of the people who work in this sector. It’s just how things are done here in the market.
