Tilak International School

Tilak International School is right across from the Ghansoli station in Sector-5. We are part of the Smt. Sarada Kurup Education Complex on Plot No 22. Being so close to the station means we hear the trains going by all day long, but you get used to it after a while. It is a very convenient spot for people living in Navi Mumbai. The school day starts early and it can be a bit chaotic at the gate when the buses and parents arrive at the same time. We have a lot of students coming in and out, so the hallways are rarely quiet. The building itself is quite sturdy and has plenty of rooms for different grades. We spend a lot of time on basic admin work and making sure the teachers have what they need for their lessons. It isn't a place for fancy speeches; we just get on with the teaching. During the breaks, the playground is full of noise and energy. We try to keep the place looking decent, though with so many kids around, there is always something that needs fixing. It is a very practical environment. Most of our staff lives nearby, so we are all part of the local community here in Ghansoli. We just aim to provide a regular school experience without any of the extra polish you see in some of the newer places. It is just a school doing its job.
