D.A.V Public School, Airoli

D.A.V Public School in Airoli is situated at Plot No. 11 in Sector 10, Navi Mumbai. Like many schools in this part of the city, it’s a big, square building that takes up a good chunk of the plot. Sector 10 is a busy residential area, so there are always people moving around outside. The school gates open early, and by 7:30 AM, the whole place is buzzing with activity. We have a lot of classrooms spread across several floors, and the hallways can get pretty crowded during the change of periods. Our staff comes from all over Navi Mumbai and even from the main city, so there’s always talk about the traffic on the bridge or the state of the local trains. The school isn't trying to be anything other than a place for kids to learn their lessons. We have a lab that smells like chemicals and a library that's filled with old books that have been rebound many times. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. It’s mostly about making sure the students finish their homework and stay quiet in the halls. The playground is a bit small for the number of kids we have, but they manage to play their games in shifts. It’s a very straightforward, practical place to work and study, with a focus on the daily grind of the school year and getting things done.
