Being located right by the APMC Market in Vashi means our mornings start early and they start with a lot of noise. Sector 19 B is always full of trucks carrying produce, so the air often smells like onions or fresh fruit depending on the day. The school itself is tucked into the Y A Block. It’s not a huge campus, just a series of rooms where we get the work done. You can hear the shouting of the traders if the windows are open, which can be a bit distracting during a math lesson, but the kids are used to it by now. We spend a lot of time just keeping the place tidy because the dust from the market area is constant. There isn’t much space for a big garden, so we make do with what we have. Most of the staff walks in from the nearby residential blocks or takes a shared auto from the station. We keep a regular schedule, starting the first bell around the same time the heavy trucks are finishing their rounds. The hallways are narrow, and we have to remind the students not to run too fast. It’s a very working-class neighborhood, and the school reflects that. We just focus on the daily lessons and making sure the water filter is working. There isn't any fancy lobby or anything like that, just a plain desk near the entrance.
