Smt Sushiladevi Deshmukh Vidyalaya & Junior College is located in Sector No 4 in Mumbai. The campus is quite a busy spot because we have both the school and the junior college students here at the same time. You can imagine the crowd during the shift changes. Being in Mumbai, space is always something we have to manage carefully. The corridors are always full of life, with students heading to their next lecture or hanging out near the stairs. The building is several stories high and looks out over the local area. We have science labs and a library, but they are always in use. The staff room is a tight squeeze because there are so many of us working here to manage all the different classes. We spend a lot of time on administrative work and making sure the exams are organized properly. It can get pretty humid in the classrooms during the monsoon, but we just carry on with the lessons. The students come from all around the sector and nearby neighborhoods. We don't have any big marketing plans; we just open the gates every morning and do the work of teaching. It is a practical place that focuses on the curriculum and making sure the students are prepared for their final college years. The teachers work hard to keep everything on track despite the usual bustle of a large city campus.
