Sumeet's Kitchen

You can find Sumeet's Kitchen at Shop 14 in the Shree Krishna Paradise building. We are over in Sector 12 of Kharghar, right near the Garam Masala Hotel. It’s a nice enough spot, though parking can be a bit of a nightmare on the weekends. I spend most of my day in the kitchen area making sure everything is ready for the lunch rush. It’s not a huge place, just a few tables and a counter where people place their orders. We keep the menu pretty basic with things we know how to cook well. My wife helps with the accounts and sometimes she has to step in and serve when someone calls in sick. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, and the fan in the corner squeaks a little, but the food is why people come back. We get a lot of office workers from around Kharghar who just want a quick meal that doesn't cost too much. We try to keep things clean, but it gets frantic when five orders come in at once. We don’t bother with fancy plating or anything. It’s just good, hot food served on regular plates. Sometimes we run out of the daily special by 2 PM, which usually means it was a good day. It’s a lot of work, but we like being part of the neighborhood. The evening crowd is usually families looking for a break from cooking.
