Ultratech Cement Ltd

Being so close to the JNPT Port means things are always moving around here at Plot 53 in Uran. The air smells like the sea and there is always the sound of cranes or trucks in the distance. Ultratech Cement Ltd has been set up in Sector 1 for a long time. It’s a busy industrial kind of place, not exactly quiet. Most of the time we are just focused on getting the orders sorted out and making sure the trucks are loaded right. It’s a lot of physical work and the dust gets everywhere, but that's part of the trade. We have a small office where we handle the bills and chat with the drivers. They come from all over Raigarh and even further sometimes. Sometimes the port traffic makes everything take twice as long as it should. We just deal with it. It’s not a shiny corporate building, just a practical site where we handle the product. The crew has been here a while and we all know the routine. We don’t have much time for fancy talk. If someone needs something, they come by and we see if we can help them out. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living. We see the big ships coming in and out from the edge of the yard. It reminds us how big the world is while we just do our bit here in our corner of Raigarh.
