We are A M Contractors and we operate out of the Computer Associates spot in the Central Market. You’ll find us in Abi Guzar, Lal Chowck, right in the heart of Srinagar. It’s a historic area and there is always a lot of movement outside. Working in Kashmir means you have to be ready for anything, especially with the weather and the local geography. We take on various building and repair jobs around the city. It’s hard work, often out in the cold or under the sun, but we don’t mind. We are just a group of local guys who know how to build things properly. We don’t have a fancy website or a big PR team. If you want to know what we do, you just have to look at the walls we’ve put up or the roofs we’ve fixed around Lal Chowck. We try to be fair and do a decent job so that people will call us again next time something breaks. It’s not about being the biggest company in Srinagar. We just want to do work that we aren't ashamed of. Sometimes we have to bring in extra help for big jobs, but mostly it's just the core team. We keep our tools ready and wait for the next call to come in. Life here is busy, and there is always something that needs fixing or building.
