Our group, Yashwantnagari Growers Producer Company Limited, operates out of Lakhmapurbaglan in Nashik. We are based at Laxman Dalvi’s place, house number 185. It is a real grassroots effort here. We are a bunch of growers who figured we could do more if we worked together instead of everyone just doing their own thing. Nashik is known for its farming, and we are just one small part of that big picture. We don't have a corporate headquarters with glass walls. It’s just a room where we meet and discuss the crops. Dealing with prices and buyers is a headache sometimes, so having this company helps us stay organized. We talk about seeds, weather, and how to get our produce to the market without losing too much money. It’s a lot of talking and a lot of manual labor. Most of us have been farming since we were kids. This company is just a way to make the business side of it a little smoother. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. We grow things, we pack them, and we sell them. That is the whole story. Some years are better than others depending on the rain. We just keep going and try to help each other out in the village. It isn't always easy but we stay at it. Everyone does their part to keep things going.
