Vinta Farmers Producer Company Limited

We’re located right behind the Akash Petrol Pump near Umadarshan in Nashik. It’s a busy enough spot, but our office at Plot 73 is pretty quiet most of the time. We started Vinta Farmers because a few of us felt we could do better if we pooled our resources. We don’t have a big fancy lobby or corporate suits. It’s mostly just a practical space where we handle the books and talk to the members. Nashik is a huge area for agriculture, and being right here makes it easier for us to get things done. Sometimes the noise from the petrol pump is a bit much, but you get used to it after a while. We aren't looking to become some giant corporation that forgets where it came from. We just want to make sure the local farmers get a fair deal and that our work stays steady. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or out in the fields seeing how the crops are doing. It’s not always easy, and some days are long and tiring. We don’t have any marketing people writing stuff for us to make us look better than we are. If you stop by, you’ll probably find us having some tea and looking over some handwritten notes. That’s just the way we run things. It’s honest and it works for us. We’re just trying to make a living like everyone else in this part of Maharashtra.
