Vikas Steel

Vikas Steel is located at Plot No-6, right behind the Industrial Way Bridge on the Satpur Ambad Link Road. Being near the bridge means we hear the heavy trucks rumbling overhead all day long. It is a very industrial part of the city, so there are not many trees or quiet spots nearby. Our yard is where most of the action happens. We spend the day moving steel beams and coils around with the crane. The link road is always busy, which makes it good for getting our deliveries out, but it also means the air is always full of exhaust and dust. We have a small shed that serves as our main office, though we are rarely inside it unless it is raining hard. We are just a bunch of regular people who know a lot about steel and how to move it. The work is physically tiring, and my back usually hurts by five o'clock, but it feels good to see the inventory move. We deal with all sorts of people, from big factory owners to small-time repairmen. There is no corporate polish here; we talk plain and work hard. Sometimes the mud on the link road makes it hard for the smaller vehicles to get in, but we always find a way to get the metal loaded. It is just a straightforward business where we keep things honest and keep the trucks moving.
