Out here at the Manur site in Nashik, things are pretty straightforward. We’re situated in the Madsangavi area, which falls under the 422003 pin code. It’s a solid location for Uttam Galva Steel Ltd. because we have the space we need for the metal. The office is attached to the plant, so you’re never far from the sound of the machines and the smell of the metal. It’s not the kind of place where you’d wear a fancy suit to work; most of us are in practical gear that can handle a bit of dirt and grease. The road leading up to the post is a bit bumpy, but it gets the trucks in and out just fine. We spend our days managing the steel flow and making sure everything is where it should be. It’s a lot of logistical work and physical labor. We don't have a big mission statement on the wall or anything like that. We just have a list of what needs to be done today and what we need to prepare for tomorrow. The guys here are mostly local, and there’s a good sense of just getting on with it.
