Troops Farmer Producer Company Limited operates out of a flat in Maitreya Apartment over at Gandharva Nagari. It’s right on Nashik Road. We aren't in a big industrial park or a fancy office building. It’s just a regular space where we handle the administrative side of our farming group. A few of us got together because doing everything solo was getting too complicated and expensive. We focus on getting what the farmers need and helping them sell what they grow. Living and working around Nashik Road means we are close to the main transport links, which helps a lot. We don't have a lot of staff, mostly just a couple of us taking turns to handle the phones and the ledgers. The name might sound a bit different, but we are just regular people. We deal with a lot of different vegetables and grains depending on what the season brings. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait to get back to the computer, or the traffic on the road makes it hard for trucks to get in on time. We take things as they come. It’s about making sure the people growing the food get a fair shake. We aren't trying to be some giant corporation. We just want to keep the lights on and help the local growers in our circle. It's a bit of a squeeze in the office sometimes, but we get the work done eventually.
