Over here in Niphad, specifically in Shirwade W, we have the Tarapandit Agroclinic Farmer Producer Company Limited. Our spot is at S No 278. It’s a rural area, and we are right in the thick of the Nashik farming belt. People around here grow a lot of grapes and onions, so that’s usually what we’re talking about in the office. The agroclinic part is basically just us trying to figure out why the plants aren't growing right or what kind of pests are bothering the leaves this year. We are not scientists in white coats. We’re just people who have spent a lot of time in the dirt and know how the crops should look. The office is simple, just enough room for some desks and some samples brought in from the fields. Being in Nashik-422209, we deal with a lot of different weather issues. Some years the frost hits, and we all have to scramble to save what we can. It’s a lot of talking to farmers who are worried about their livelihood. We help with the inputs and trying to get a better price at the mandi. It’s a daily grind, honestly. We wake up early, get to the site, and see who needs help. There’s always paperwork for the government, too, which takes up time. But mostly, it’s about the soil and the crops.
