Tamboli Steel

Up here at Kuberji Niwas, things stay pretty busy with all the steel moving in and out. Being located right near the railway bridge on Yeola Road means we hear the trains going by all day long. It’s a bit of a landmark for us in the Camp No area. Out here in Chandvad, everyone knows each other, so we don't really need to do much besides opening the gates and getting to work. The weather in Nashik district can get hot, and working with heavy metal all day is honest work that keeps us on our toes. We have different types of steel stacked up, and we spend a good chunk of our time loading and unloading. It’s a dusty job, especially when the wind picks up off the road, but we’re used to it by now. The bridge is always a good reference for people trying to find us for the first time. We just focus on what’s in front of us, whether it's a small order for a neighbor or something bigger for a local project. The shop isn't anything fancy, just a practical space where we can get the work done. We’ve seen the area change a bit over the years, but the way we handle things stays pretty much the same. Just local people doing their bit in the steel trade without any big airs about it. It is hard work but it is what we do.
