Taj Trading

Taj Trading is tucked away in Saifee Mohalla, quite close to the Gandi Gate. If you know the area, you know it can get pretty busy with the narrow streets and all the carts moving around. We have been operating from this spot for a long time. It is an old building, but it serves us well for what we do. We mostly deal with wholesale goods, so there are always boxes stacked up near the entrance. It is not the kind of place where things are displayed beautifully. We just have what people need and we get it to them. Sometimes the traffic near Gandi Gate makes it hard for the rickshaws to get through, so things can be a bit slow in the afternoons. We have a couple of guys who help with the heavy lifting and loading. It is honest work. We don't have a website or fancy brochures. People mostly find us by word of mouth or because they have been buying from us for years. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are usually too busy managing the stock to worry about that. The Gandi Gate area has a lot of history, and you can feel it when you walk through the mohalla. We have seen many businesses come and go, but we have managed to stay put by keeping things straightforward. We don't use any fancy computer systems for our inventory; it is mostly done by hand and memory. It works for us.
