Svc Farmers Producer Company Limited is based in Niphad, which is in the Nashik district. Our specific spot is at House Number 643 in Ugaon. If you know Nashik, you know it’s a big area for all sorts of crops. We are right in the middle of it. Our group is made up of farmers who decided it was better to work together than to try and do everything alone. The office in Ugaon is where we meet to talk about seeds, fertilizers, and where we’re going to sell what we grow. It’s a basic setup with a few desks and a lot of farmers coming in and out at all hours. We don’t follow a strict corporate schedule; we follow the sun and the seasons. Some days we are all out in the fields, and the office is empty. Other days, it’s packed with people arguing about the best way to handle a pest problem or market prices. It’s a lively place, to say the least. We’ve been working out of this 422303 area code for a while now, and we’ve seen a lot of changes in how things are done. But at the end of the day, we’re still just folks from Niphad trying to make a living from the land. We don’t need anything fancy to do that, just some good dirt and a lot of hard work.
