Surgana Farmers Producer Company Limited

Our company is based in Thangaon, which is a small place in the Dindori area of Nashik. We call it Surgana Farmers Producer Company Limited. If you look for us, we are at House No 27. The landscape here is beautiful but it makes for some hard work on the farms. Most of the people in our group are from the surrounding villages. We grow a lot of local crops that do well in this specific climate. Sometimes we have to travel a bit to get to the main markets in Nashik or Surguna, so having this company helps us organize the transport better. It’s better than everyone trying to do it on their own in their own small trucks. We aren't business experts; we are people who know about dirt, rain, and seeds. The office in Thangaon is where we keep the registers and talk about what the government wants from us now. It’s a lot of meetings, sometimes under a tree or just in the front room of the house. We have people from different backgrounds here, but everyone is focused on the same thing, which is just making sure our kids have a better future than we did. We don’t use any fancy words to describe what we do. We just plant, we water, and we hope for a good harvest so we can keep the lights on and the company running for another year. It is our way of life.
