Sunfarma Agro Farmer'S Producer Company Limited

Our company is based in Umrane, which is in the Malegaon taluka. You can find us at house number 326. It is a pretty normal place for this part of the state. We picked the name Sunfarma because the sun is what we work under every single day in the fields. We aren't some high-tech business with a lot of money. We use the tools we have and try to get the best results from the soil. Most of the people involved here are farmers themselves. We decided to get together so we could have a better way to handle all the business stuff. Selling crops can be a real pain if you are trying to do it all by yourself. Here in Umrane, we know the land very well. We know what will grow and what is a struggle. We don't have an office with air conditioning or fancy chairs. We just have a small room where we keep our papers and meet up after the day's work is finished. It gets quite dusty and hot in there, but that’s part of the life we chose. We don’t have a lot of employees, just the members who all help out when there is work to be done. We aren’t trying to impress people with big reports or growth charts. We just want to make sure the farming is sustainable for our families. It is hard work and we don’t always get it right, but we keep on trying.
